We also love the community where we live, and we strive to live well by doing good. We especially enjoy giving our time and resources to things we believe in, particularly those causes supporting women, children, and animal welfare. Angela Bean, Owner
Angela has been perfecting the art of hairdressing and image consulting for more than 20 years. She also believes in business as a force for good. Directly involved in the salon’s day-to-day operations, Angela manages the Artifex staff by providing plenty of guidance, know-how and hugs. She stays current on always-changing industry trends, styles and techniques by frequently attending shows and conferences around the mid-Atlantic and beyond. With a work ethic that is second-to-none, Angela has established her reputation in the region as a true professional who also thoroughly enjoys a good laugh.
Sara Brink, Stylist
Sara’s experience comes from extensive, immersive training in the art of hair with a stylist who had 25+ years of experience in the industry. Sara gives her clients personalized, professional and skilled service while also making them feel cozy and relaxed. [Her scalp massages are to die for!] She loves being a part of the Artifex family and continuing her education. When Sara is not behind the chair, she spends time with family or volunteering at Immanuel’s House. Sara is passionate about making a lasting, positive impact on the world, one person at a time.
Kim Joy, Stylist
Before joining us at Artifex, Kimberly received intense training in designer haircuts and custom color placement at a leading studio in Maryland. Kim shares unabashed enthusiasm for hair art, believing in top-level customer service, utilization of the highest quality products, and continuing education. She spends free time with her family or volunteering at the R.U. outreach program. Besides more than a decade of industry experience, Kim also holds an Associate’s Degree in Business. She wants all guests in her chair to feel like the VIPs they most definitely are.
